WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE USED IN JAPANESE STYLE ACUPUNCTURE?

At our clinic we practice the Manaka style of Japanese acupuncture which was developed by the Japanese medical doctor and acupuncturist Dr Yoshio Manaka. Dr Manaka was one of Japan's best known twentieth century acupuncture practitioners.

Dr Manaka developed a 4 step therapy which is as follows:

STEP 1
Involves balancing the "yin" or front, of the body using ion pumping cords, ion beam device, or gold and silver needles.
STEP 2
Involves balancing the "yang" or back, of the body using moxibustion on a needle, cupping, or heat from a lamp.
STEP 3
Deals with structural imbalances, using a series of passive stretching movements called Sotai.
STEP 4
Deals with symptom control using the ion beam device, intradermal needles, moxibustion, and cupping.

Furthermore we use treatments devised by Japanese acupuncture practitioners which are called body rebalancing treatments. These treatments are not designed to treat any specific condition but rather, by the use of moxa, cupping or ion pumping cords, to bring the body back into a harmonious state.
